Portugal's Best Kept Secret

Things to do in the Algarve

Local excursions

Have a swim in the river: 3 km from the house, you can walk or drive down there and you will find a small stream with waterfall and natural pool. Tourists free!

Nearby you will find many good and also some more expensive international restaurants: Sao Gabriel, Amadeus, Vincenz, Hermitage and Evaristo just to name a few – and the Vila Vita and Vila Joya – our “Double Michelin-Star” restaurants. In addition, however, we’re very happy to give a few insider tips, where they can find delicious local cuisine. Ask your host!

Disco, night club, casino

In Vilamoura there is a large casino. Beautiful beach discos can be found in Vale de Lobo and the St Eulalia Beach, next to countless clubs and bars in Albufeira and Villamoura. However, the biggest disco of Portugal is in nearby Boliqueime itself, the world famous Kadoc! Enjoy the nightlife!

Villa Sol, Sheraton Algarve, Vale de Lobo and many others. In most places you can book your tee off as a non-member ( starting from approx. EUR 40).

The village of Boliqueime has 5000 inhabitants. It has a post office, various shops, a bank and a village pharmacy which is open seven days a week. A highlight is the annual village festival “Festas Populares de Boliqueime”, held at the end of June. At this festival you do not receive Coca Cola or plastic plates! Drinks and meals are served like 200 years ago.
